Playing with Friends:)

We had a few friends over the week before Christmas for a little play date.  We ate lunch and made a few Christmas crafts.  We are very thankful for all the friends that we have made through our church & by going to MOPS(Mothers of Preschoolers).  Doing life with other people who are in the same boat as you,  raising young children is a blessing.  Especially when neither of our families are close by.  The people that you surround yourself with make all the difference in the world and they in a sense become your surrogate family.  This has been demonstrated many times over the years since we have lived here, whether by a meal brought to us, offering up babysitting or simply a phone call.  I think there is a saying, no man is an island??  Not sure where is comes from but our family is proof that you can't do life alone.  Brody truly loves all of his friends and even at this young of an age his face lights up whenever he gets to be around them.  I can't wait for him to grow up with some of these kiddos, much like he would with a sibling or cousin.  Bryan & I are already taking bets on who he marries! Just kidding... no pressure bud!

Baby Girl Ripple

Here are the latest pics of Baby Girl Ripple.  Only 7 more weeks to go..I'll be 33 weeks as of tomorrow!
We had an elective 4D ultrasound last week just to get some last pictures before she decides to arrive on her own.
One thing's for sure and that is she looks like Brody.  She's got the same nose(which comes from Bryan) and same pouty lips like her Bro.  Bryan says the cheeks are mine. I'm just hoping that she's not a 9+ pounder like he was.  We were unable to get a full front view of her face because she kept grabbing the umbilical cord & wouldn't let go of  it.  I guess it's her security blanket right now.
February will be here before we know it!
