We had a few friends over the week before Christmas for a little play date. We ate lunch and made a few Christmas crafts. We are very thankful for all the friends that we have made through our church & by going to MOPS(Mothers of Preschoolers). Doing life with other people who are in the same boat as you, raising young children is a blessing. Especially when neither of our families are close by. The people that you surround yourself with make all the difference in the world and they in a sense become your surrogate family. This has been demonstrated many times over the years since we have lived here, whether by a meal brought to us, offering up babysitting or simply a phone call. I think there is a saying, no man is an island?? Not sure where is comes from but our family is proof that you can't do life alone. Brody truly loves all of his friends and even at this young of an age his face lights up whenever he gets to be around them. I can't wait for him to grow up with some of these kiddos, much like he would with a sibling or cousin. Bryan & I are already taking bets on who he marries! Just kidding... no pressure bud!
