Snow Day!

In case you had not heard, Atlanta was hit with a major snowstorm last Sunday.  6 inches of snow+ice made it a treacherous week.  This area does not get hit with storms of this condition so not only does anybody not know what to do, but there aren't enough trucks or people to clear roads, etc.  Most people didn't go to work Monday or Tuesday (Bryan included). They actually cancelled school before it even started snowing on Sunday night & schools stayed closed the ENTIRE week.  It stayed below freezing for most of the week so the ice froze, then re-froze, etc etc etc.  Anyways Monday the snow was awesome & Brody got to play in it! We had so much fun!  Enjoy the pics!

Peek-a-boo!

Now that I'm a Dad, I'm amazed by Brody's excitement for life everyday. I wonder what's going through his mind as he looks and grabs at stuff and then holds it up close to his face until he goes cross-eyed (temporarily though!). He seems excited by the smallest things in life and it reminds me how easy it is to forget about the amazing things around me. Regardless of what's going on with me, after a long day, his smiles and laughter can change everything in just a few seconds. How can you not change after seeing this? If only I could see my everyday life more through his eyes :-)

Santa Claus: A Recap

Brody's first Christmas did not come with a shortage of Santa Claus.  He got to meet him 3 different times.  Santa Claus came out early before Thanksgiving where he first met him at the mall (picture in the Blog Post below). He met him for the 2nd time at Bryan's work party.  They had a Christmas party just for the kids complete with presents, Chick-fil-A, Krispy Kreme and of course Santa.  The 3rd time he met Santa at a kids storytime in our subdivision. He got an extra surprise because Mrs. Claus was there too.  I am happy to report that Brody was on the nice list and recieved everything he asked for.

Beatuiful Day on the Beach in November!

Father, Son & Grandpa

Splashin!

In Memory..

Here are some pictures of us taking a stroll in Myrtle Beach in November. The wind was a little chilly but it was a nice day.  Brody's Grandpa Chris decided to join us.  This was Brody's second time being on the beach.  I'm pretty sure he's gonna be a beach & water baby. He'll be swimming in no time!! The ocean seems to calm him.  Anyways we had a nice little stroll & went to eat some good sea food afterwards for lunch.  A perfect end!

Big 'n Lil' Santa!

Here are a few pics of Brody while visiting Denver and also his first pic with Santa!

Rock Climbing

One of our adventures while in Colorado was Rock Climbing.  The place we went was close to where we parked the cars so we could take the babies down easily.  They did great.  Linkan played in the dirt & Brody was a great observer.  Molly even tried to climb.  She did awesome & made it up pretty high for an 8 year old.  I'm proud of her!  Linkan has a hiking baby backpack that we stuck Brody in.  He loved that thing!  He fell asleep and slumped over..and started snoring exactly like his dad.  Haha.  I attempted to climb & actually did a pretty good job for an amateur-- as evidenced by the pics.  When we go back to Colorado next time we'll have to do it again!
