My very 1st Birthday Part 1

The Grand Celebration of Brody's first ever Birthday has come (and gone)!!  We have tons of pictures so I'm going to have to split them up into a couple different posts.  We had 2 different celebrations-we had to do it up BIG!  His first party was at Gymboree Play & Music.  For those of you who don't know what Gymboree is, think little kids play gym. We invited all of his friends to come & play & had our very own teacher! We had a blast.  These first pictures are of the cake.  He did not do too well with his first smash cake.. it was fondant icing and I think he didn't quite know how to dig his fingers in it.  It sure was cute though!

Georgia Aquarium

We decided to visit the Aquarium in downtown Atlanta a few weeks ago.  There's a big fish tank in our church lobby that Brody is absolutely enthralled with, so we knew the Aquarium would be a special treat.
Bryan & I had of course been there before, but you see it through different eyes when you take your kid!  Also Bryan's Mom was in town that weekend so he got to hang out with his Grandma!
Just FYI, but the Georgia Aquarium is actually the largest in the world.  I know-- totally random to have a huge aquarium in Georgia, but if you're ever here or in the close vicinity it's a must see.  They also have a new Dolphin show that we missed due to timing issues & traffic but hopefully we'll get to see it next time!  Bryan's trying to get me to let him set up a fish tank in our house now... I told him I don't mind as long as we can find the space the put it in.  Brody's stuff is quickly crowding everything in our house!

Here are a few more pics from my family's visit last month.  We celebrated my Mom's birthday & they gave Brody his early  Bithday present.  They gave him his first remote control car, which he loves.  Bryan loves driving it & he loves chasing it around the kitchen!

Here are a few pics we took one night on a leisurely walk up to the playground.  Our subdivision has 2 different play areas.  They're nothing fancy, but it's nice to escape to for some entertainment every once in awhile.  2 of our neighbor kids, Lizzie & Ryan joined us as well.  The pics of all of them with the Red Wagon are my fave!
